As you embark on the journey to owning your Brookings home, you may be wondering about the role of a real estate agent. Exactly what can you expect from a Buyer’s Agent?
Questions
As your agent, my first job is to be certain I understand your needs. Exactly what kind of property are you hoping to find? What is your budget and how will you make your purchase? If you will finance the property, do you need help with options? These are just some of the questions I will ask as we begin to work together.
The neighborhood
If you’re not familiar with Brookings, I’ll help you find a neighborhood that fits your needs. I’ll be able to provide you with up-to-date information about available properties in your price range. And until you find exactly what you’re looking for, I’ll share information about new listings (sometimes even before they’re official!).
Paperwork & more
Once you’ve found your home (or a building lot), I’ll assist you in making an offer by evaluating comparable properties and helping you negotiate the terms. I’ll advise you on the due diligence process and connect you with local service professionals as needed. I’ll handle all of the paperwork needed to get the property into escrow and communicate with your lender, the title company, and the seller’s agent.
Celebration!
Throughout the process, right up until we celebrate the closing of your deal, I’ll be available to you to help you find the answers to any questions you may have.
